“Ever wonder what it would have been like to step back in time and
hear the legendary lawyer Clarence Darrow?  You still can.

Gary Anderson’s one-man portrayal, Clarence Darrow, returns you to the early decades of the
last century, not with props or costumes, not with fancy sets or lighting, but with the sheer force
of his performance, bringing to life the passions, contradictions and subtleties of Darrow,
the man many consider the most brilliant attorney to ever argue the law.

With a nuanced monologue, Anderson reminds us why spectators lined up at dawn,
why judges wept, why reporters howled, and why the name of Clarence Darrow still evokes in
us the challenge that we can, that we must continue to fight oppression, to work for social justice.

I strongly recommend you give yourself this gift and see Gary Anderson put this together.”

Clarence Darrow's Search for Justice is a portrait of the history of our legal profession and of Darrow-the man.

This is the return of Clarence Darrow, at war and as warrior, returning to engage our justice system in a presentation that trembles
with inescapable timeliness.

This is a “warts and all” presentation. He fell down hard and often. He was brilliant; he was a philanderer, a loving grandfather of
three and an egotistical grandstander who may have been guilty of jury tampering. This is the man behind the legend, not always the
hero and not always at his best, with serious legal problems of his own that scarred and haunted him forever.

“With over 350 trial lawyers in attendance, over the years we have seen just about every kind of presentation imaginable. I don’t
remember one, however, that managed to accomplish everything you did. Your presentation educated, entertained and inspired and
we are deeply in your debt.”
... Prof. Tom Mayo, Southern Methodist University School of Law, Dallas

Clarence Darrow's Search for Justice is exhilarating, relevant, inspirational, educational and is characterized in the same dramatic
league as Holbrook’s Mark Twain in newspapers across the country.

This is not a dry lecture but history alive. The attendees become the jury in every case discussed. The show is interactive as Mr.
Darrow moves in and out of the audience asking questions which provokes introspection.

He was this country’s greatest warrior for social justice. His clients were vilified in the press and hated by the vast majority of
Americans. His clients were the poor and defenseless of our nation. He defended the murderers, the reviled and the abominable. He
was their voice when no other voices dare rise in their defense.  Darrow said,
“Lost causes are the only ones worth fighting for.”

He never lost a client who faced the death penalty and saved 102 men from execution.  His clients were the new immigrants to
America, practicing unfamiliar religions, treated with suspicion and scorn.

His trials and legal issues were and still are immediate, controversial, and inspiring.

As Mr. Darrow once said,
“True patriotism hates injustice in its own land more than anywhere else.”
